this is not a beat tape.

it is a memoir; written with the reclaimed memories and recontextualized sounds of my childhood and adolescence; refracted though the adulthood i have suddenly found myself thrust into, as i began my first year out of my teens.

in this period i have learned that there is comfort and safety in repetition and the familiar - it is from my from my own personal places of respite that this tape is built from. i hope it brings you a similar feeling. perhaps you may find on this tape a memory we share, and if not, i invite you to make some.
